What Did The Devs Of The Subnautica Announce?
The developers of the game Subnautica originally released the first game back in 2018. It was a survival game that explored the sea. In fact, it won a lot of awards as well.
Due to that reason, the developers released a sequel, three years later. The name of the sequel game is Subnautica: Below Zero. Just like the 1st game, this one too dealt with the alien ocean world and all the danger it offers. Of course, as an adventure game and open world experience, it became a fan favorite.
This is the reason why, the gamers looked forward to another, after playing the sequel. Now, it’s great news for the fans because the devs Unknown World has finally thrown some light into that. In other words, they have revealed in a job listing, that a new game in the series is entering its development phase. This is the reason why they have even begun hiring people for the project.
So, the devs of the Subnautica- Game franchise tweeted on 7th April about the job posting. They said, “We’re seeking a senior narrative designer to work with us to help shape the next game in the Subnautica universe.”
Some New Things To Expect In The Third Game Of the Subnautica Series
Needless to say but the Subnautica universe has managed to entrance the fans. Just like we are waiting eagerly for games like BotW 2, GoW Ragnarok, and more, now we have added another one to our waiting list. Yes, we are talking about the next Subnautica- Game.
Though it’s unclear as to what ‘new’ will come with this game from its predecessors, the job listing includes some clues for us. For instance, they said that the successful applicants will work closely with the team to tell a dramatic, compelling story in the context of the game. Furthermore, they will also add some new lores to the alien world. In addition, they would also drive the narrative director to a good end.
So, we can say that the game is under development along with another project that they referred to as Project M. We don’t have any idea when it will release but it may take around 2-3 years for sure.
